Payments

Dr Jaffery is on limited insurance panels. Clients that are not enrolled with these panels will get
superbills from our office which they can submit to their insurances for direct reimbursements.
However, the addiction services provided at SBH are not covered through any insurance panels.

Please take a moment to review the following very important reasons why consumers should
consider privately paying for their mental health and addiction services.

  • Privacy and Confidentiality: There is No 3rd party invasion of your privacy. You will enjoy
    complete control on third party access to your sensitive and private medical information.
  • Minimal payment: Most of the patients will get reimbursed from their insurance as their out of
    network benefit. With the overall savings on your copays, coinsurance, deductibles, as well
    as savings from wisely using generic medications and pill splitting (see below for details) ,
    your cost of private paying will be minimal or in some instances even less than using your
    insurance.
  • Whenever possible carefully substituting expensive brands of medications (ADD meds,
    mood stabilizers, anti-depressants/anti-anxiety, Addictions meds) to much more affordable
    generic medications and also utilizing methods of pill splitting (by cutting higher strength
    medications to halves or quarters)will bring significant cost savings that will offset overall
    cost of Psychiatric and addiction treatment.
  • You will enjoy easy, anytime access to Dr Jaffery by his personal cellphone. With your
    consent, he will also provide a very proactive communication with your primary and specialty
    care physicians and therapist to clarify issues and improve your treatment.
  • Flexibility to modify your appointment duration as your need changes rather than fixed,
    regimented appointment sessions set by the insurance companies.
  • Evening and weekend appointments to cater to your needs which will also help save
    significant loss of wages if you have to leave work for doctors appointment.
  • You will continue to be seen by the doctor until you are well rather than within the constraints
    of visits allowed by the insurance company.
  • The time and resources spent by our practice to process insurance claims, pursuing
    reimbursements, and verifying benefits will be used instead in addressing your needs.

Needless to say you will enjoy concierge style services by highly qualified double and triple boarded
psychiatrists without paying the concierge prices.
